Planning to make this from my BFF - Ina Garten; from her book Barefoot Contessa: How Easy Is That?  Here's something interesting: Roe - the eggs or spawn contained in the ovaries of female fish, especially ripe - also called hard roe.  Soft roe refers to the ripe testes of a male fish.
